Rotax 912 iS - first engine start

On April 6th 2018 everything was ready to run the engine the first time.
The previous day I purged the lubrication system according the Rotax installation manual.

As soon as I turned the key switch to START the engine awoke to live immediately and ran smoothly.

All pressures and temperatures are well within the limits.
No warnings or error messages! 😃

A very nice feature of the EMU 912iS (Engine Management Unit) is the capability for data acquisition storage by use of an integrated SDHC interface.
The Engine Management Debriefing Station (EMDS) software allows
visualization and post processing of the recorded data.

The post flight evaluation of the recorded data confirmed the flawless operation of the engine.
There wasn't a single entry into the comprehensive Fault Matrix. 👍

A few more ground runs confirmed the reliability of the engine.
Since this engine does not require any adjustments like caburator synchronisation etc. it was ready for the first flight.

I'm absolutely convinced that my decision for the fuel injected 912 iS engine was perfectly right.
